Story Clinic: Your story better now!

Does the idea of story appeal to you, but you just don’t know where to start? Are you stuck at trying to figure out how to include story in your presentations? Do you wish there was a simple method you could use to start creating your own stories?

This story clinic will introduce story structure as an approach to your professional presentations. Then we will workshop (look at and talk about) a few presentations together and examine how a story structure can make your presentations more effective.

Six participants who are interested in workshopping their presentations will have 5 minutes to share their presentation. Christine will offer them direct feedback on their presentation as well as suggestions for infusing the presentation with more story. Other participants will provide written feedback. That means anyone who shares a presentation will receive loads of feedback that they can take with them to improve their work.

This workshop will be given in English. Presentations slides should be sent to the organizers at least 24 hours in advance.

Biography

Christine Taylor, founder of StoryCraft, is an experienced story crafter helps entrepreneurs, business people, and academics create better. She has given more than 40 workshops on story, always starting with structure to equip participants to create better stories right away. Over a thousand people have participated in Christine’s workshops and they are spreading their stories across the Netherlands. She’s a gifted writer and inspired teacher with more than seven years of teaching experience at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and the Radboud University. Christine writes regularly about story on her blog. She answers story questions every week live on her Facebook page.
